hi First off I dont have online access. However I have been able to download (on computer at work) all of the patches for omf bg. Put all of those on removable storage device and then took it home and downloaded to my computer. All of the files are .exe but whenever I run them I keep getting a message (after a progress bar showing download) old file not found and the program stops and doesnt load patch.
What am I missing besides a brain in order to get this to work.
Desperatley in need of help !!! THANKS

Make sure the path you put for the patching is C:\Program Files\Diversions Entertainment

Thank you all so much I will give it a try tonite. I will probably uninstall the game, then reinstall and put all of the patches into that directory.then cross my fingers.
Hopefully this will fix the freeze up when I get to third battle in ultimate warrior.

argh I get the same problem, I try to patch to the omf folder and it says old file not found. When I try it in the engine folder it says
Old file not found. However a file of the same name was found no update done since file contents do not match

HI I found out last night that you will have to delete all other patches and have only the patch that you currently plan to use in the file execute it and then delete it and do the next one if needed.
But I also found that my omf game doesnt run after installing the patch. Maybe I forgot to reboot after install or something but thats another issue.

I'm not sure what happens when you 2 open the patcher, but I get this screen (default looks in its current folder (was desktop for me), that screenshot is after I navigated to the required folder).

From there, everything should work fine, so long as you are using the correct patch program. If you try using the 2090 to 2151 patch on a version of OMF that has already been patched to something other than 2090 (2090 is release version), you will receive an error. After you apply that patch, then you try the 2151 to 2172 patch.

The patcher can be a little tricky, but this works for me.

First make sure you have a fresh install. Then copy your patch file into your OMF:BG directory, that's C:\Program Files\Diversions Entertainment\One Must Fall - Battlegrounds for default. Execute your patch file and again, locate your patch file inside the window that pops up and press open. It's possible you don't exactly have to follow the last step, but I've tried a dozen other ways or so, to patch and they all fail. This always work for me though, when I have a fresh install.

Also make sure you are patching from the right version. It's v2090 (retail) - v2151 and then v2151 - v2172.

Night, with your pic, the patcher program is still asking for a FILE, not just a folder... if you just keep hitting open, it doesn't do anything.

It seems to work once you point the patcher to... itself. As Markster suggested. I thought you had to point the patch program to the OMFBG executable, since that was the file being patched. Pointing it to the patcher ".exe" seems to be working though.

Thanks guys.

That's interesting, it has always worked for me when I press open when my screen looks exactly like that.

In any case, I'm glad you got it to work. I'll have to remember that pointing it to itself trick.
