OMF worked fine on my old machine, but now I built this new one with all this stuff in my sig and it just doesnt seem to want to properly respond to my keyboard input.
*In the options menu, If I try to change the User Name or server name, there is no respond to my typing. It stays as Unknown (or whatever it was).
*When trying to edit the controls, the game just crashes pretty much. Using keyboard or controller, there is no difference. Disconnecting the controller does not help.
*In the actual arena, All I can do is use the default controls. Cant escape or anything else it seems for that matter. All I can do is fight. To exit, I have to use "Alt-F4", which is no fun.
Maybe a prob with vista? Maybe Not? _________________

I have no idea how to fix that, but the default controls are best anyway |

Actually, I agree. I want to try another setup to see if it is more efficient. Or I'd like to try my game controller. Guess default is best by default. _________________

First off, I take it you have never run Windows ME.
Secondly, although I haven't installed BG on my Vista install yet, I'd think that it is probably more of a 64-bit issue than a Vista issue. The 64-bit versions of Windows are a bit flaky with application compatibility... _________________ Official forum economist. Explodes when thrown.

Dammit....I just installed this game on a new computer and I have this exact same problem. The screen is COMPLETELY White when I enter the playing mode...and I can't type ANYTHING. The game crashes the minute I try to change the controls. The same things happens for another game, except the screen is completely black. How do I fix this problem?????
Yep...I have a windows Vista...dammit |

The white screen bug can be fixed by disabling glow in the options menu. _________________ ASUS Maximus Formula, E8400 @ 3.6GHz, 4GB DDR2 1066 CL5, 9800GT 512MB, Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7.1, Win7 x64 |
