I suspect that poor old Justin was thinking about omfbg ;)

Unfortunately I haven't had much time to ponder or play around with dosbox at all. Quite alot of things going on in real life. :-/

Yep. I was talking about BG. I did just check out the Witcher 2 to see how my new machine can handle it. It did quite nicely on Ultra settings. Twisted Evil

Dosbox has really made itself into a zero effort DOS... eh... box. It's like 7-Zip or Media Player Classic: install, it works, check for updates once a year.

BG on the other hand probably does not work. If it were on Steam and / or Impulse I'd try it out. But it's not. So I won't.

Same here. No real issues to speak of.

I see you updated your sig KR. Hows Windows 8 treating you? Probably better than me and my Pryos would. ;)

They're trying to get people to give them feedback on the new alternative Desktop, which, unless you're on a touchscreen tablet, is AWFUL. Fortunately I found some scripts to return the Win7 Start Menu, which has meant far fewer headaches. Overall performance has been good (maybe slightly better than Win7), there's a lot of nice little improvements to Windows Explorer, and the Metro apps (before I got rid of them by banishing the new Desktop) were responsive and visually striking (but work a bit too much like Android or WP7 apps for me to get used to on a desktop - again, though the Metro Desktop is clearly meant for tablets, where they'll do well).

Also a bit of a surprise that with the new Windows Experience Index for Win8, the lowest score on my system? My SSD (then again, it's a first-gen OCZ Vertex).
