Start -> Run -> "DXdiag"
There's an option there that allows you to export your specs to a .txt _________________ "I don't like pancake restaurants, you can only order 1 pancake at a time" - My girlfriend

Are you kidding? DirectX is what your machine uses to run just about anything game related. DXdiag is a tool of DirectX that scans your computer's specs and tells you everything about it. Its hot a hacking tool or anything. Its Microsoft certified if that makes you feel any better though I personally would prefer it werent. _________________

BG has trouble recognizing some audio hardware correctly. Usually won;t impair with playing the game. _________________

If you don't mistype DXDiag like this: "Format C:\" it's completly safe.. and please don't post in all caps. _________________ "I don't like pancake restaurants, you can only order 1 pancake at a time" - My girlfriend

I think thats for quick format that just deletes all the files, as in, by replacing the first character with #A5. They are all recoverable with the right tools.
If you want to nuke your HDD and physically erase everything, well, that may take up to 6 hours for 120GB disks, and is found elsewhere. </OT> _________________

the /q switch is for quick format. Though files would still be recoverable. _________________

actually, typing format C: will not work simply because the drive is already mounted so the format command will fail. It'd work if you were booted into DOS though _________________ "Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas." Joseph Stalin

I'm gonna format my HD soon, and reset the partitions...
But I normally use the XP cd to format my pc, works great. _________________ P4 CPU 2.4 Ghz, 512 MB RAM 333Mhz

If you do a full format files are not recoverable. I tested it personally. With quick format however, it just goes through and replaces the first character of each filename with #A5 (I think its A5) and the computer just thinks its deleted. Ive dont quick format and recovered all files as a test on a partition. Just replaced the first filename character with anything but #A5. Full format didnt work that way. _________________
