Running the server and client separately, I decided to alt-tab quick to the server and back into the client. I had recently alt-f4'd out of the client version to try to make the loading time shorter between games, and when I reopened it, I found the game to be slower than usual. I did this alt-tab to try to "wake-up" the client a little bit.
When I did that, though, I made the server stop sending information, but still able to respond to pinging. Basically, I was still getting updates on my ping and lag looking at ctrl-n information, but the bytes sent and received were both left at zero constantly. I was able to combo the AI, but so long as they were punches or kicks. And the game never stopped with a message saying "server hasn't responded in 60 seconds" or whatever. I was able to keep playing and playing, just with the AI doing nothing and taking no damage.
It wouldn't be so odd hadn't the server been running on the same computer, or had I received the error saying that the server hadn't responded. Having both occur seems rather odd though.
It was fixed by alt-tabbing back to the server long enough for its screen to fully render, then going back to the client. It started back up at a new round with me having lost the round to Suki, but otherwise everything was back to normal. _________________ [Elite] pilot of the Force Flying Circus
