Current Version: 0.3

Current Features
-Several new pilots, all of which now have AI
-4 new session mods for speed (2 slower than normal, 2 faster than normal)
-A No-Crowd setting (slightly buggy)
-No-Hazard version of Firepit
-Two New Gametypes: Deathmatch and Kaboom
New in 0.3 - Deathmatch Crash fix (I hope), Training Arena made avaliable for Multiplayer games

As my host does not allow hotlinking of any sort of file, you need to copy and paste the following URLs into your browsers address bar in order for it to work!

If anyone can, feel free to throw up a mirror of the file all in one piece and gimme the link so I can put it here.

TO INSTALL THIS MOD
Extrat MultiplayerMod-PublicRelease.part01.rar with WinRar. This will extract all 12 parts of the file (I had to split them because of filesize limits). This will extract to a file called 'MultiplayerMod-PublicRelease.DEObjects'. Place this in your <OMFDIR>/Data folder, NOT your <OMFDIR>/Mods folder.


I'm also looking into the possibility of getting several Session Mods included, but I cannot promise anything as I got no idea why the [filtered] they are not working
Future releases MAY include several HAR Workshop tournaments.
If anyone wants a pilot made, drop me an email with the pilot image (256x256, preferably TGA format) and stats (must add up to 200) and I'll put it in the next release

@Mods: Check beta forums before you delete this post, permission has been given to release this.

2. What version of OMFBG is required? 2172 or is this just for beta?

This is for 2172, not beta. If it was beta I wouldn't be posting here.

For some reason my host is not letting the files be downloaded, let me try and figure out. They are sitting on the FTP so theres no reaon why it shouldn't be working.

Well, I know that. You just got me confused by talking about 2181.
Some files seem to work if you go up once in the directory.

I think the problem is that I'm hotlinking. Copy and paste the link into your browser's address bar and try again. Thats never happened to me before, so weird.

Well I've seen all this as I've helped debug it, but I just want to say that the uber super amazing nitro speed setting is superb. The game becomes 10x as fun, where the limit is your fingers, and not the HAR.

If your computer can keep up Very Happy, i'm proud that my mod actually got hooked into multiplayermod, as it's pretty much the only mod i managed to make (Speedmod).

Woohoo! Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you :biggrin2:

Now, if only I had an internet connection that allowed me to make use of multiplayer.

My only question now, is how do I get the mod to run? I copied over "MultiplayerMod-PublicRelease.DEObjects" to the mods folder in my OMF directory, but I don't receive any options to select the mod to run, or receive any of the mod features in-game. Do I have to copy over some other .DEObjects file until the patch is released, or is there some command line option I need, or what?

Again, thank you, even a smallish mod is much better than no mod. Smile

In your regular pilot choice you will see the enw pilots. Also, when you create a server, there will be 4 new icons for the session speed modifyer, a no crowd option in the crowd menu, and a new arena (Inferno - No Hazards). Use the game as you normally would, but with new features.

Its sad that the other cool stuff didn't wor on the retail build.

I tried that, but I don't get any of that. Sad

[edit] Do I maybe have to have beaten all the tournaments for the mod to work? 'Cause I haven't quite gotten around to doing that on this install.

No you don't simply unzip the file into your Omf data folder. Oh and for the record none of the Beta pilots have profiles or avatars. (They should...)

Wraith: I think the auto patcher is back up, so geting to retail build should be a problem.

Wait, so what does this mod do? I couldn't tell in the original post when you were talking about things in the mod and things to come. Also, all the files inside the zips have the same name. I thought they were supposed to be different parts of the same mod, are they not?
