Just downloaded it, and was relatively underwhelmed... there's precious little new content, just the 3DMark05 demos made a bit prettier (although Canyon Flight looks awesome now). One new demo, which is basically an HDR test.

Any other opinions? (For those wondering, my system scored 1130 with default settings).

I scored 467.. haha. Everything went between 0 and 2 FPS.

And no, you don't need 1 GB of RAM to run.

X-BoT: That score can only be explained by the fact that your card can't run the Shader Model 3.0 tests, as, from looking at your system specs, most of your other 3DMark scores are similar to mine (give or take about 25% with the exception of 03).

Yeah I guess so.. I don't see a real need to upgrade my video card yet though. And as long as I can still play games with reasonably pretty graphics, that's not going to change Smile

Also, some of the tests looked a lot like 3dmark05, only a lot slower :p

The first three graphics tests are taken directly from 3DMark05, only with substantial enhancements to textures and shaders (the Firefly forest demo in particular). The only new parts of the benchmark itself were the CPU test and the fourth (SM 3.0-only) graphics test, Deep Freeze.

Yeah, I was expecting more than just a prettied up 3dmark05 as well. Scored 1380 though. Smile

Were it not for the fact that he's on a Linux rig, I'd like to see what Spock would get on this benchmark... he's got about the beefiest system of any of us...

I think the fastest I got on any demo was on Demo 3 (Canyon Flight) where parts of the demo got up to 9 FPS... but that's a Shader Model 3.0 test. On the first two I think the fastest framerate I got was in Return to Proxcyon, at the very beginning, getting close to 7 FPS...

Oy.
