Pretty sharp-looking auto for its age, shame what happened to it, though. Good to hear it's been serving you well.

The car is currently parked against my wall to avoid breaking into the boot and the case is under investigation; esp cos the guy's policy seems to be invalid :@

I'm not driving it; even to move it for pics! Razz

Thats the only one that matters.

Perfect whenever you want to take your girlfriend's strict mother for a "spin."

Chassis damage likely = not worth spending to fix a car that cheap!

Currently driving a 2 litre diesel which is just almost as quick to 60 and way torquey so great 50-100 mph... brand new renault laguna 07 plate... not bad for a courtesy car... sat nav edition Wink

UPDATE:

Car is now this:

Started off life as a 318is...

That is a 3 series with a 1.8 16V 4cyl chain-driven 137bhp / 129 ft lbs M42 engine....
The "is" part refers to the M-Technik suspension. The car also has discs all round and M-Tech interior.
Leather interiors don't come with the is, but this one had them put in...

The car has a Zender bodykit which sets it off nicely but is not too garish... Looks gorgeous imho.
The wheels were changed slightly from 14" BBS alloys to 15" which were refurbed with a polished lip.

The engine then died on me after oil pump failure led to the engine slowly deteriorating.

I managed to source someone who would do an engine conversion to the car for a very very good price.
It then had the new engine put in with the clutch, gearbox and exhaust system to match.

It now has a 2.5 litre 12v 6cyl belt-driven 168bhp / 166 ft lbs M20 engine.
My my does it pull now Very Happy

It's not as revvy as the 1.8 and is a heavier engine, not to mention thirstier, but very satisfying.
I can now manage to drive at 25mph in 5th gear if required as low down torque kicks in without causing the engine stress.

She handles like a dream, being RWD and having the M-Tech suspension.

The only things needed mechanically would be to change the 4.10 Open Diff to a 3.91 LSD to match the 325's engine.
This would be better suited for the higher gears as it would adjust the ratios properly. Partial lock on the diff would be better for drifting also if required... Expensive though so might wait until I get it done...

More pics:

Wouldn't buy you the seats.
Recaros leathers with thigh support thanks Razz

You're looking at $1600-$6000 for the 318is (depending on condition and extras) and $7000 for a crap 325i Sport... upto $12000 for a good 325i Sport M-Tech 2 and $18000 - $25000 for the M3 version (depending on M3, M3 Evo or M3 Evo II etc)
