For some really strange reason, I was sitting around today thinking about the craziness of time. Amongst my rather inane thoughts, one of the things that struck me is that it has been 4 years, 2 months, 29 days since I was last at the Diversions office.
A lot has changed in that time. Every once in a while I will get a shout on IM from one of the folks in the Diversions community and it is interesting to see some of the things that our players have done since the game's release.
So how about it?
How have YOU used your 4 years? What are you doing now?
As an aside, if any of you are on linked in, feel free to add my professional profile as a connection, if you like.

Hey Wayne,
I barely frequent these here parts, but still have a long-term tie to this place...
The forum is still my homepage at home, not that I ever use my homepage because all my tabs are restored to the last session on startup
Past four years have been fun.
Women, cars, food, drinking, working, partying, sleeping, festivals, music, the works.
Still play 2097 occasionally, and tempted to fire up BG, but everytime I try to play anything other than AudioSurf I can't do it anymore.
Wander around on IRC still...
Been working a few different places, the current being a fairly large property company (£14bn property portfolio) in finance... fun(!)
What else...? Not much... life goes on, but you don't forget this place. _________________ -=Blaze Your Trail=-

Yeah, well, not much of interest I guess. I changed a couple of jobs, moved to a new town, met alot of new people (and finally gotten away from the old, heh). And lost even more interest in computers and computer games, and gained even more interest in roleplaying games, as well as board games, strategy games and even some card games.
No big change I guess
Been on sick leave for the last 3 months now, becose of strain injury in both arms. So generally taking it easy, watching anime, and try not to use my arms to much on anything that strains them further (driving car, reading books, typing on keyboard. In short no work and most of my hobbies, so I watch anime). Added some more info about the sickleave and anime stuff in the link in my signature.
And a one, two, one, two three, hit it!

I get shocked when I realize how long it's been. Since then, I've graduated high school and I'm on my last year of uni. Still playing all kinds of video games but BG was still the last game to get me really hooked in not only the game but the community around it.
Just keeping myself busy until I enter the workforce, then I'll be even more busy. _________________ Xaronth's System Specs

Not much around in various fandoms anymore... in terms of gaming forums, the only other one I'm really around anymore is for Rock Band.
Received two Bachelor's Degrees in April, in Economics as well as in Political Science - Public Law, with a minor in Mathematics. About to start graduate school for Economics in the fall.
I still work at the university I graduated from, doing "last-line" tech support for online classes and streaming video. I'm basically the "geek in residence". Boring job 90% of the time, though, and the pay is miserable. I am sure things are going to get really rough once I have to start paying off student loans...
...but that's further down the road. Right now I'm just focused on getting my Ph.D in a few years. _________________ Official forum economist. Explodes when thrown.

Heh, I don't frequent this site much anymore, or any site really.
In the last 4 years... oh man...
Graduated from Highschool, graduated from college... got engaged, got un-engaged... lost my extreme christianity that I use to identify with... stopped gaming and replaced it with working long hours and such.
Currently: Visiting my family in California, before moving to Hilo, Hawaii to do research and such in Marine Ecology/get yet another degree.
Good to catch up with my "childhood" though, I feel like a completely different person than I was back in the days of OMF:BG. Glad to see everyone is still living and well! _________________ Your everyday wolfgirl |

Graduated from high school...trying to transfer to a better college. Went through a bad relationship...Not pursuing film anymore...Started reading more... Uhhh, thats about all worth mentioning.
I went from a hardcore gamer to a moderate gamer, now. And I'll probably take a break on gaming in general once I transfer. I mostly play multiplayer games because they give me a quick fix. However, nothing can stop me from getting Fallout 3. _________________ "He who has a why to live for can bear with almost any how."

I am currently working on a long project in my field of study.... but also trying to decide what I should do (permanently) for a career afterwards, I want to maybe change into something I'll be happy with for the rest of my life
I miss the old days of OMF too, so many memories.... I wonder how all of you that were teenagers have grown up to become (I was 23 at the time when I met all of you )
I remember the first time I logged onto the IRC channel, and I wanted to find out how to type *FireFly likes OMF, and there were these wierd people named Spockmeat and Cardy who kept going *Spockmeat doesn't know how and *Cardy doesn't know, I kept trying to ask and Cardy would change his text colour too, and I asked him how and he said *Cardy doesn't know. I don't remember fighting Spockmeat for the first time, but I remember fighting Cardy. I couldn't understand how he got so good, and in the end he told me things I could try.
Then I met the rest of you... I still have my saved old OMF IRC scripts

I remember the conversations with Lita and some of the other beta testers before they were promoted to full-fledged beta testers, my OMF Magic Eye's, Aqua and the two AquasEternalGuardian's, The_Professor (who logged everything), When everyone joined FT, the fights with players of SDC and XS and hX and so many other things
maybe someday we could meet on Freenode (a free IRC channel that a lot of open source projects are hosted) and make an OMF channel, or get in touch again through MSN, Yahoo, or ICQ messengers or PM's

I'm still doing school, finishing my math degree in a couple years.
Found some new games and hobbies to occupy my time.
Found some new forums and new IRC channels to grace with my awesomeness. |

Hey Wayne!
Long time since I last checked this place.
I've graduated in Computational Intelligence, and am working for an Austrian company now, as a software test manager/automator/engineer thingy.
I still write music, most of it chip-tunes on my old gray Nintendo Gameboys.
Great to hear from you! _________________ www.nexxyz.com Deluxe BBQer of n00Bish threads

If you remember my brother Muska (he was in our clan too) he's actually making chiptunes too. He makes nes and sid tunes though. _________________ Xaronth's System Specs

Been down this road before, with SubSpace.
Well, I've been through some jobs.
I play some games.
http://www.blackskygame.com is still dragging slooooowly, until I find an additional coder.
And sometimes I play BG versus as many bots as my PC can handle.
That's about it. _________________
