You know that awkward moment when your Windows 7 disc goes missing and Easeus's ghost software decides to turn your installed copy of WIndows into a blinking cursor that won't boot? I know that feel.

Fedora Linux has oddly enough made leaps about bounds in the last year and a half without actually looking or feeling different (LXDE Spin). I haven't missed Windows at all in the last week. I do miss my Steam account though. Possibly Winamp classic too.

Should you wish to install Windows again (possibly dual-boot?):

They're completely legit to download and will install correctly, as long as you have a valid key.

It's already been taken care of. Fedora worked flawlessly, Windows 7 broke my bootloader, grub2's reinstall broke everything, and I had to diagnose all of it using google on my dumbphone.

The new bottleneck in Windows' startup is the introductory animation before the login screen. Since Fedora 17 doesn't have one, it because the new top dog for loading speed. Crazy.

Been dual-booting Win7 and Ubuntu off of my SSD... other than my drive not being that large, it's working quite nicely.

(Eventually will have to upgrade to a newer drive, but that can wait for now)
