I was wondering if one could take a texure and have relief mapping (if not steep parallax mapping), then move the layers created by mapping using fur shading techinces?
What I'm trying to figure out how to make grass (or fur) made from parallax mapping move around like grass. I've seen some of the grass made from this method and it looks ok if your into the ground looking like a 5 o clock shave.
Other then wanting to see weeds sway in the wind, I have an idea for foot prints and track. I haven't seen this yet but it would be possible if tracks were created by a bimp map genterator where retracing tracks would affect the ground, however if you stomp your foot into the mud and look at the imprint the walls of the foot print arn't strait, more like clumps that might cave in into imprint.
So would it be 'possible' if this could be done.
Sorry if I'm not writting proper lingo right now, it's one am and I need sleep.
Yes I know elder scrolls 4 does things differently.
tut I'll work on next week.
