EA made some of the older C&C titles (that they bought with Westwood) free. So you can download and play C&C1, RA1, and C&C2 iirc.

I only cared about C&C1 myself, and if anyone else is interested I found a patched and updated version made by fans that plays on new computers. You can actually download the entire game there, with music and video as extra download packs:

Heard of it, but automatically disregarded it because I never did like Red Alert 1 :p but interesting to find out that it also plays Dune2K.

Unfortunately it looks *Very* incomplete in singleplayer, so not really interested as of now. I'll stick to C&Cpatch on top, so I can pla through the singleplayer again, and get tired of RTS for another few years again.

But thanks for link, want to look it up once it plays singleplayer for Dune2K :)

Oh, the singleplayer is certainly very incomplete. It would be nice to try networked multiplayer if you're up to it, though Smile

Hmm, been a LOT of years since I played any of these games in multiplayer. I might be up to try C&C1 online sometime when I get the time (hectic week).

I refuse to play RA1, at the very least without some heavy mods to make the game playable with anything but only tanks :p

Don't think I ever played Dune2K in multi.
