The guys over at Fraud Krew started setting up a monthly OMF2097 tournament over Parsec, first one was held yesterday (11-05-2022)! Next one will be 08-06-2022.

Twitch stream of the entire thing (you'll have to skip forward a bit to about 18 min for the fights to start), entire thing is a bit over 2 hours.

Considering it was in the middle of the night for me, at 0200, I wasn't sure if I should try, but decided "Screw sleep!" and joined. I had a lot of fun! I lost my first set since 1998 against Nash Chronos! I haven't been this fired up since..... 1998!

Regarding Parsec: it worked a lot better than I expected! I've been so used to IPX Tunnelling myself that it was a huge change-up for me. I'm so used to be able to frame perfect block stuff, and now I'll have to learn how to play on "normal" speeds again!

I'd definitively say Parsec is a better way to play online with overall. The main issues will be that one side will experience latency while the other doesn't. And definitively requires a good internet since it's video streaming.
