heh, lets talk about the real people behind the hars and the character pictures.

ok let's see here...

Meowbeast (active): Meowbeast has an uncany ability to adapt to the current situation, and shows this by being very good in all of the hars in the game. do not use the same approach each time because Meowbeast will find a way to counter it the second or third time you do it. his latest achivement includes useing chronos to win....... a lot.

Vuen (semi-active): one of the few force players who doesn't spam super meteor, be carefull though, he will evade and get you from the side with forces 360 degree air and ground kicks. also likes (and is very good at) catching your evades, so choose your evade direction wisely.

Endy (active): Jag is endy's har of choice and likes to use the unpredictable RP to get that extra distance on entry. also likes to strafe and ground evade a little bit to throw your attack direction off slightly. he likes to use pre-packaged combos he finds on other sites. however dispite this he seems to find a way to land that first hit to make those combos work to their fullest extent.

TamCoan (in-active): whether he knows it or not he inspired me to use mantis. he is the best mantis player I know of, He will hit you with about 10 light attacks before you realize what's going on. loves to make an entrance with a jump RK so be carefull you are not at a "safe" distance dispite what you may think. He also uses other hars too but he seems to take to mantis more naturally than the others.

NightShadow (active): always has a very high ping (700 or so), even hosts get big warps from him. if he's standing there looking like he's loadeing.... he's probably not loading but active and swinging away but you can't see it. I don't have much for stratagy because it seems both him and his opponent are mearly swinging at the breeze hopeing the other will warp there.

TheUnknownFactor (active): (TUF for short) likes to smurf a lot, almost never uses his messageboard name, but likes to use the pyros quite a bit. he uses the pre-packaged combos on his site, but unlike endy has a hard time landing that first hit. (as is pyros nature) and because he runs the website where big combos are listed, expect him to perform them flawlessly. if you don't evade out of his combos he will complete them, he almost never screws a combo up so you better learn how to do something more than hope if he gets you.

Monk911 [nzack] (active): well what can I say about him, he's learning, he doesn't quite get how to evade out of stuff yet and his combos are limited. he likes to use his katana to head straight at you. don't expect him to play mind games with you like some of the other experenced players. He also dosen't give up if you continuously pound the sparks out of him, not many players can say that.

Kilops (active): one of the more experienced katana users, he loves the wall kick the katana has and will use it's power to try to disorient you. his combos are not that lengthy but he will land quite a few of them if your not carefull.

Unnamed Player: Finds a move he likes and uses it the whole time. And doesn't like to turn around.

Ouch Offensive: He uses a.lk alot, and other long range moves to get closer to you, and then trys to get you into block lock with rp, forcing you to guess if he is going to do rp again or wait for your counter. To get around this you should always be strafing & evading, and eventually one of the long range moves will send him right past you leaving his back exposed.

Ouch Defensive: He'll run off and start throwing bugs at you forcing you to be aggressive, and hope you will make a mistake that will put you in blocklock or a short unavadeable combo that will likely stun you. Pyros could get around this very easy by using his rp flamethrower, which stops ouch long enough for you to be able to frontflip in his direction and do a.rp or a.lk.

Hey, thanks for the props ouch. I'm really not that great. You should add to my description "Tries to counter way too much, and can't do squat without leaping into the air".

Also, it's nice that TamCoan inspired you to play Mantis, and no offense to TamCoan, but you really, really need to meet Player or any of the other Mantis kings sometime...

Only 3 months have past and i have been forgotten? Insolence! :p

Well, my stats right about now would be the ones one would begin a new tournament in omf2097 with. Lack of practice said it's 2 cents .
But, fortunately fixing this problem is possible (after a whole day of non stop online play) . But, seeing that there are no servers, i'll just have to check often..like, once every 5 minutes. Well, it took me 5 minutes to write this, so , back to checking :biggrin2:

After 1 min : i'll give you 1 guess regarding the no. of servers .

I use 'heavy' and 'light' and 'stun' sets for my Jaguar combos. They're all different from each other and all except the stun combo are used only by me (perhaps the reason I'm the WWJ, but I don't really care about that).
