The second doesn't hit i imagine, u used it for advancing ?

Anyways when i play mantis i use ol' trusty for a combo cuz it's the best unnafected by lag combo

LK > a.RK > a.LK > a.LP > RK > LP > f.LP > f.RP > RP > superfly > f.LK > LKslide > SuperSlide > evade forward > a.f.LP > a.f.RP > a.f.LK
It.s a classic and it was the easiest to perform combo that i could think of

Well yea. i use second A.LK to move forward so A.RP hits.

And im sure you can do some other moves than super fly after A.RP. super fly is just example.

This is one i came up with to use a very nasty fragment. It's best done in the back of someone.

But anyways it's hard not to combo with the most comboable har ever...i mean you can mash and still get 10 hits easy

That depends. If you're a speed maniac try Velocity , you'll almost take off with mantis with that guy.

I use Lucas or Tyra because the sluggish movement of the pilot counters a little the fast movements of the har and it gives me the exact speed i like to fight with.

If you want strength i wouldn't recommend Walther, but Ciaran although i was never able to get used to a slow movement like that.

My final recommendation would be Tyra ,but only if you feel comfortable using her.

Try them out and see what you like best.

It's a pilot who got lost somewhere in the patching...you can still get it if you can get the right registry file.

OOps my bad. Before the game was patched there was another pilot in the roster, named Lucas. It has almost identical stats like Tyra only his focus is a little bit increased at the expence of a little agility and endurance.

The pilot was removed in a certain patch ,but the people who beat the tournaments before the patch got Lucas too.

If you beat the game after patching you won't be able to get him ever

Yeah mantis is notorious for fragmenting, AI is seriously painful in a mantis on master setting because they simply fragment like crazy.

As for a good fragment,
a.LK (LP)AcidSpit LP RK fLK fLP fRP *fragments here, unblockable, uncounterable, and avoiding the hit is also impossible, best fragment currently known in the game* RP

After that i'd start with LP, since at that point the victim can't evade, and LP is easy to air evade from, follow with RK (which catches evades), after that pretty much everything goes, you're 4 hits into the combo so you're only at 20% damage, slightly more than the rock bottom of 15%, id follow up with fRK, use the air light punch(es) and a.RK, than the (lk)slide, followed by superslide, followed by a (missing) a.LK, than a.RP, and the super fly swarm. You've got LK left, which you could perform here, you've got acid spit left, the ground light punches and light LK, if you used only 1 of the light punches earlier you can use LK, followed by an air light punch, continue into fLP fRP fLK, and maybe the acid spit will hit after that too.
