for the upgrades. I didn't count a HAR as finished until i had all of its possible upgrades, Destructions also help a lot at the start of a 'heavy metal' tournament. |

"Help" ? I remember Heretic played through all 4 tournaments on heavy metal with a new character without upgrading anything :p
I dont think i could do the same, but upgrading only pilot and not the HAR should be posible. _________________ - Jon Eirik * www.omf2097.com * www.omf2097.com/wiki * https://discord.gg/sT8YU2E <- OMF Discord |

I've gone through tournaments without upgrading anything
there are only 2-3 hard fights. Its easier if u waste ur cash buying and selling parts when u move up to the next level but doable without. In that case destructions hinder you as they increase your wealth.
Upgrading just the pilot is easy enough, forget endurance though. No stun res so you'l go out like a light no matter what, just dont get hit. Only problem fights doing this are the Steel Claw + Other Thorn/Flail fights cos they have massive armour and hurt a lot while still being much faster, other hars dont benefit so much from the speed advantage cos they are generally fast until you fully upgrade anyway. |

I really shoud have gotten around to trying that. Never really bothered. And i suck to much against CPU nowadays, I have become to used to play against humans. Way to different tactics there. _________________ - Jon Eirik * www.omf2097.com * www.omf2097.com/wiki * https://discord.gg/sT8YU2E <- OMF Discord |

Lol, how can you suck against CPU. Just Overhead throw/shadow dive/diving claw/jumpkick-sweep them over and over |

It's not as much fun unless you go straight to the World Championship, so your hard fights come early. :p Which meaning of "no upgrades" are you talking about? No pilot stats, no robot stats / enhancements, or both? Both is pretty hardcore, not to mention mind-numbingly boring. |

I belive the one heretic did was "no upgrades whatsoever", might have excluded enhancements though.

Sugestion for balancing Shadow:
Replace shadows "shadow punch" with the "shadow backflipp" from the hacked shadow bot that vulture made. Its an amasinglly efficient defence move, almost on par with electras electric shards attack. would leave the shadow much more allrounded with a good much better defence. and should leave him able to compete with, or at least get away from most bots. _________________ - Jon Eirik * www.omf2097.com * www.omf2097.com/wiki * https://discord.gg/sT8YU2E <- OMF Discord |

Wow Raptor, we think alike. While i was taking a piss earlier I was thinking about this thread, and thinking about ways to improve Shadow. And was thining about how STUPID shadow punch is, and how he needs a new move altogether |

Really give the hacked shadow a spin. most of its new moves are sick. The flying quadruple shadow slide is insanelly overpowered, but stil nthing cmopared to the instant teleportation... but the backflipp was very good, it could get shadow out of most situations, unless hes getting comboed, it was a excelent move to use to get out of situations that might turn into a combo.
basically use it as you woul duse the electric shards defencivelly. and it also moved Shadow slightlly backward. good setu for using more shadow moves. _________________ - Jon Eirik * www.omf2097.com * www.omf2097.com/wiki * https://discord.gg/sT8YU2E <- OMF Discord |

Face it Katanas Head Stomp owns all it is almost impossible to get out of it and you can get 4 hit combos shadow is to expensive in tournament mode and he needs a standard air attak where his legs are facing downward. |

Slow_n_Dopey: Unfortunately, we're not talking about matches vs AI here (that would be quite difficult to fix); what really matters is performance against other humans. You know, people who can block the Head Stomp until they sail harmlessly over your head, people who can use Shadow's jump punch far more effectively than most characters' jumpkicks, etc.
You do have a point, though, in that the costs of some bots in tourny mode should be adjusted. (Switching the Shadow and Gargoyle costs would fix most of the problems, I think.) |

LOL. Can't be entirely accurate, though. Without the punch button, how would you Overhead Throw and win the game? :p |
