I was running a regular one until a while ago
unfortunatly I'm running off to italy for several months as of Monday where I will have no connection
But if you want a game this weekend catch me on MSN Messenger:
Mordax_Praetorian@hotmail.com
I can also introduce you to a few friends who organise games every so often
As for the reason why there are never any servers:
Its because the game flopped, you can blame [filtered] reviewers for this who would rather kill innovation and keep gaming stagnant
There are other things you can blaim, but as I dont want to turn this thread into a flame war I wont mention them |

Yeah, I also usually have a server running as well, but I moved and the current connection I have give 1000ms ping times. As soon as I get my connection changed to my own cable internet connection, I'll have my server up and running again. That probably won't be for another week though. _________________ [Elite] pilot of the Force Flying Circus

Not a clue. I'll play with you with I get the full version of the game in August if you're willing to wait.

I don't think so. I didn't even know it was released until a few days ago. Already ordered my copy. I know a LOT of people who loved OMF 2097 who don't even know about this sequel. It came out a bit too quietly, I'll do my best to spread the word. _________________ -Aegis Runestone- |

I'll play retail with you. If you use MSN add me to your list (check profile) and buzz me whenever you feel like one. I hadn't played in eternity though. Or rather, since I beat Mordax at his own house on his crappy keyboards _________________

The game couldv been something if marketed well, but it's pretty [filtered] impossible to create a netcode that makes averages of 100ms ping magically disapear, therefor many players face constant lag, and since many things physically interact with eachother, lag is very visible, this is mostly how and why the game failed IMO. _________________

Hm.. I'd say the reviewers are what killed it. Lack of advertizement yea, but the reviewers didn't exatly even go online with BG. They just realized they were hopeless as players and decided to hate the game instead.
The lag is bad yes, but its not the reason the game failed commercially. Even on my wireless LAN we get pings of 35 with ocasional warping here and there. The only game worse then this is BF2. _________________

id say rushing a crashing and bug-infested game out the door to try and cash in on an xmas release is what killed it. silly attempt anyway, youre not gonna score big from the holidays if noone knows about your game... |

1) The game didnt sell well because it was not directly advertised and it did not get any support from game reviewers. The average gamer does not know what OMF:BG is. That's why it didn't sell.
They made a game and didn't bother to tell anyone about it.
2) It was reviewed poor because it wasnt a FPS, RTS or RPG or a game from a game designer known for producing unique visionary games.
Game reviewers expect to know how to play games from the first second the touch them. You know, because all GOOD games are essentially variations of 3 concepts...
3) It lost it's dedicated fanbase because it was an unfinished rushed release and totally not what we expected from the DE we love.
However none of the above change the fact that mantis is rediculously overpowered to the point of stupidity and katana and chronos would have to pull of perfect pro gameplay to compete with a warlord spamming LP and Stomp.
