Samus in Metroid Prime pulls off her helmet at the end of the game and she's easily mid 30s. Old Nintendo Power magazines list her as being 6'8" tall and about 225lbs. She's a proverbial amazon huntress. At least she was until Nintendo ruined everything like they did with the Wii U.

I've seen Appleseed and it's sequel. They aren't really anything compared to GitS because there's no thinking involved with Appleseed. There's "fun" anime where you're just along for the ride and are intentionally not supposed to think about it, but Appleseed isn't one of them.
