Impressed, the Jaguar specifically looks more natural moving, compared to the earlier versions, where his moves and specials looks really choppy, and bouncing back and forth. With hit-push implemented, that could almost pass for the normal game on first inspection (at least until you try to throw someone, that still looks crazy). _________________ - Jon Eirik * www.omf2097.com * www.omf2097.com/wiki * https://discord.gg/sT8YU2E <- OMF Discord |

Yes, there are still tons and tons of tags that we don't know. Most of the values we use have been deduced using Harrison-Stetson method.
So, it looks good, but there's still a lot to do :/
Our milestones are here: https://github.com/omf2097/openomf/issues/milestones. Dates probably won't hold, but at least we have targets to work towards |

What maybe wasn't clear (at least to me) is that the link katajakasa posted actually has windows binaries for both 32 and 64 bit machines.
I can probably cobble together OSX binaries if anyone is really interested.
So grab it, try it, complain about it and make some noise about it on the internet if you know anyone who might be interested. I'd be great to have more people aware of OpenOMF and maybe even some more involvement. It is basically 3 people at the moment, which is why progress can stall for months on end. More people and more feedback would at least help us keep motivated.
Also, another attempt at netplay should be appearing soon, as that is one of the major focus points for 0.6 (with real client side prediction this time, I promise). Then things should start to get really interesting...

Looks like it's really coming along - great work!
The multiplier for forward momentum applied to your character needs to be increased, I think - a jaguar leap covers a good portion of the screen.
As far as jump curves go, I can confirm that the higher your agility, the LESS time you spend in the air total. The same math is applied to all vertical movement states - so if you get hit into/out of the air, the time it takes to fall to the ground decreases with your agility, and with your HAR's weight. |

wow it looks impresive. im going to try it tomorrow but meanwhile i have a very little suggestion. I know the main objetive right now is to make an exact clone in all terms of the original omf2097 but... could you try to add the original karateka from the original omf demo? it will be VERY cool in terms of cameo. also it scenario and music will be awesome (dont remember if it have any music btw...) |

This would require us to:
- convert the original file format, data, sprites, sounds, etc.
- draw missing animations
- figure out animation strings for those animations
- add support for new fighters to the game
It would be a significant investment of time.
In the future (in post 1.0 versions) we might add support for new fighters and stuff. At that point someone could maybe/probably add this as a separate plugin. However, this is so far in the distant future that I'm not even going to bother opening a ticket for it |

And what about that: A secret code in the main menu (or maybe an extra option in options menu) in order to access to the original OMF. In the graphic way i can rip it all. If you are interested let me know it and i will rip it for you.
I think this is good in order to preserve all the original OMF 2097 data related, and the original beta is indeed one of the most important datas. |
