Hi there.

I am the old 'Diablo' from the forums. It has been a long while indeed (13 years).

Seeing the forums again in the same old school colors is pure nostalgia. So much has changed since then!

I was about 14 at the time, but I still remember a lot of you. The game and this forum are fond memories from a very critical, very troubling part of my life. Figured I'd come back, it's only right. Smile
How is everyone who's still active?

Hey there :)

It's been pretty quiet lately, not that many still active here (though a few still lurk or check a few times a year).

I remember your name, but don't think I talked that much with you myself. Not surprising considering I've always been the 2097 nut of the forums, and never got very interested in BG myself.

Do check out MageKing17's new remixes of omfbg music if you feel like some nostalgia, they're great!

At this point I'd say there's maybe a handful of us and we're all lurkers.

Since the game released etc I finished school, moved from Winnipeg, MB to Vancouver, BC and have been working in the film industry as a system admin for 10+ years. I'm married and have 2 kids. Still play games when I have time (mostly Overwatch/HotS now) and occasionally taunt people about all the extra crap I have from BG that I can never release. I'll get around eventually to adding what I can to Raptor's wiki for BG, although I'm thinking I might wait until BG's 20th anniversary before sharing some (ie. swag I still held onto for whatever reason).

Not much else to be, I suppose. I'm just thankful Mr. Oakley keeps the site up. Smile

Also, if you leave and come back again, i'm assuming your username will have to be Diablo2LoD, right?

I still have the signed poster hanging on a wall in my house. Too bad I'd have to torrent BG if I wanted to play it. The one thing that didn't survive the years was the CD the game came on. The case is fine at least.

I have the t-shirt, signed poster, Iron Fist medallion, and signed copy of the game - still sealed. I have my release install disk which still works as well, although I made an ISO a while ago "just in case" for when it fails.

As for the other stuff, I have *many* of the design docs, although they don't cover anything with regards to the music. Just arenas, HARs, Pilots (and all the bios people submitted), game world timeline, gameplay description, etc. That stuff (well, the HARs/Pilots are known for the most part) can't be released due to NDA stuffs.
